WKC Army (Heer) Dagger with Portepee and Hanger

SOLD!

A real find, this WKC maker WW2 Army Officer Dagger is all original, and straight from the son of the World War 2 veteran who brought it back. The metal has a very nice patina throughout, with some white residue in the swastika of the eagle that should come clean. On the reverse of the cross guard, the American Vet etched his name into the metal, but is barely noticeable. The grip is perfect, with no notable chips, cracks or crazing. The blade is immaculate, without a single notable flaw. It doesn’t get better than this!

I also have this dagger in immaculate condition only difference is mine has no stamp on blade. Does that affect the value and if so what is mine worth? Also has the acorn pommel and hangers as well.

    Hey Darren, cool web site!!!
I too have a similar (almost identical) dagger. It is missing that sling (belt-strap) assembly. What is the going rate for one of these puppies? I can take / send pix if you’d like. Lemme’ know.

    Hi Dakota.

A little rust/corrosion is not too uncommon with these, especially on the blade. The metal fittings (cross guards) are also notorious for tarnishing and, in some cases, the plating actually peels or chips from the metal. I’ll email you about your dagger so I can answer specific questions.

    Hi R. Fawcett.

Thanks for posting! I’ll email you directly with a price quote. I don’t publish prices on the site because they change so much. Rather than scare someone off by having an outdated price on my site, or have to give away an item for having an outdated price that’s too low, I’d rather deal one-on-one in real-time.
