These don’t come around very often, and certainly not this very rare variant. A Juncker Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with the “L/12” stamp appearing ahead of (not following) the “800” stamp.
Type I Chained SS Daggers are becoming harder to come by than their older sibling, the Type II, making them more sought after by collectors. This one does not disappoint in quality and appearance, despite its few flaws.
This is a late period RZM M7/36 SA Dagger in untouched condition, ready to display! The nice brown wood grip shows only modest use wear and no cracks or chips. The fit to the upper and lower guards is nice and tight, like a puzzle.
Here’s an exceptional example of a late war RZM 1196/38 SS dagger, known to be attributed to the maker Ed Wusthof.
We just don’t see these Type I Chained SS Daggers much anymore, so when they do come around they don’t last long in any condition. While the blade on this one leaves something to be desired, the rest of the dagger displays extremely well in the scabbard!
Here’s an early Robert Klaas SS Dagger straight out of the woodwork. She shows her age, but is a great dagger for someone looking to get into SS dagger collecting but doesn’t want to pay an arm and a leg.
This Robert Klaas SS Dagger is a bit salty, but priced accordingly for the budget collector looking for an early period SS dagger example that displays well and still has a lot going for it.
Here’s a nice, and seldom seen early RZM SS Dagger with all solid nickel fittings (a rare thing to see on an RZM).
