HJ Hitler Youth knife by M7/85 (Arthur Evertz)
Here’s a good clean WWII Hitler Youth knife by very hard to find maker Arthur Evertz (RZM M7/85). The knife and scabbard show average signs of wear from use and time. The scabbard retains 90% + of the paint on the back and approximately 70% on the front. The leather strap is worn in the center by the rivet. It is weak in that area and caution should be used when handling this.

The knife and scabbard show average signs of wear from use and time. The scabbard retains 90% + of the paint on the back and approximately 70% on the front. The leather strap is worn in the center by the rivet. It is weak in that area and caution should be used when handling this. One of the rivots holding the leather strap to the scabbard is also missing, and is reflected in the price.
The knife has the wear you would expect to see on a period Hitler Youth knife that was used like these knives were. There is wear on the plating where the retainer strap is located and rubbed the knife, as well as some plating nicks and light wear on the edges and high spots. The grip plates are just a touch loose with only 1mm movement. The HJ diamond has has 100% of its original enamel.
The blade shows evidence of light sharpening, which is very common with these knives and is typical of a period used HJ knife. The RZM marking is clear. No rusting or pitting on the blade.
Overall, the knife is in above average condition for the beating these knives took!
