An overall nice dagger from F.W. Holler, with a nice heavy-core ivory colored grip and deep-embossed lower crossguard.

The ivory colored grip has some age staining, as well as what appear to be scuff marks. We do not clean our daggers so attempted removal is up to the buyer. There are no notable surface cracks, and the wire wrap is nice and tight.

The cross guard and pommel cap have a nice two-tone deep gray and silver, with about 5-10% wear, but still stunning amount of detail. The top of the guard is the deeply embossed with the oak leaves and acorn pattern.

The deep gray scabbard has minimal wear and no oxidation or rust to note. The throat is the single-screw type and does show some signs of having been removed at some point (the screw). The fit of the blade into the scabbard is loose, but does not separate from the blade without force.

The blade on this one shows some surface staining. The spots do not have texture so it is our opinion that they may be removed by a skilled professional. The only other flaw to the blade is a 1/4 inch wavy section of the tip, which appears to have been repaired from having been bent at one time.
