This is a very hard-to-find Dutch NSB (Nationaal-Socialistisch Beweging) WA patch, worn on the black tunic sleeves of the Dutch WA. This is one of two patches that we have in our inventory (click here to view the other). Constructed of multi-piece black and red wool, bordered with what appears to be raised hand-embroidered gold bullion. The “Wolfshook” logo in the center (derived from the Germanic Wolfsangel symbol) is beautifully and skillfully constructed of the same raised embroidered bullion.
The reverse shows the stitching, and includes about 90% of the original paper covering, as well as what may be remnants of a manufacturers tag.
In all, this is a near perfect example of an extremely rare Dutch Officer’s patch. Difficult to upgrade! Dimensions are 2 1/4 inches from bottom of triangle to the peak, and 2 1/2 inches between points.
