These Postal Defense Leader Daggers are some of the most stunning daggers in our opinion. We simply love the detail and uniqueness about them, and are honored to present this example to our collectors for consideration.

The ebony wood grip on this one is very nice, with no cracks or chips to note, and an eagle device at the center that shows 100% of it’s original detail. The grip shows only minor use wear, consisting mainly of a few small impact dings, but nothing unexpected. The pommel cap is in near perfect condition, with no noteworthy flaws outside of normal wear. The cross guard is gorgeous, with 100% of the Swastika enamel present on both sides. On the underside of the guard are the stamps, “1927” and “DRP”, which are stamps typically found on Weyersberg Postschutz daggers, as well as the original leather scabbard buffer pad.

The blade on this example shows a bit more surface staining than we like to see, but still shows strong cross grain despite the flaws. The discoloration you see has been amplified by our photography light box, and under normal lighting condition does not show as severely as the photos depict. When running your fingers along the surface of the blade, this discoloration cannot be felt. It is our believe that a skilled expert may be able to minimize this if the buyer so chose. On the reverse of the blade is the well-known “Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen” makers mark.

The scabbard and chain are in choice condition, with only minor nicks to the black paint, and an impact ding on one side of the metal tip fitting. The chain clasp shows the expected “DRGM” stamp, and unfortunately has a broken tension arm (see photos). That said, the piece overall does not suffer in the least due to this flaw.

These daggers do not come around too often, and at this price you cannot afford to pass up this fine example!
