1939 2nd Class Spange (”Prinzen size”)

This is a nice, clean “prinzen” (small) size Iron Cross 2nd Class Spange with correct smaller ribbon. The surface detail on the Spange is near 100%, with only very modest use wear. This is truly a nice example! Only under magnification can you see that there is some wear to the expected high areas such as the eagle’s talons and parts of the wreath…

This is a nice, clean “prinzen” (small) size Iron Cross 2nd Class Spange with correct smaller ribbon.
The surface detail on the Spange is near 100%, with only very modest use wear. This is truly a nice example! Only under magnification can you see that there is some wear to the expected high areas such as the eagle’s talons and parts of the wreath.
We did not remove the Spange from the ribbon, but to the best of our ability to peak at the reverse there appears to be no maker mark, but the pins are indeed solidly in place. The black and white ribbon is correct for this “prinzen” size Second Class Spange, and is in overall excellent condition and nice age color.
