A nice Cloth Heer German Cross in Gold. This is perhaps one of the most collectible of all the German awards. An elegant 8-point sunburst with interweaving blue-gray cotton and silver/aluminum wire threads, terminating into a field-grey wool backing. The gold wreath is nicely detailed, with no signs of damage. The date (1941) shows the flaws to the number “9” that is commonly referenced when determining authenticity. The only notable flaw with this piece is the moth nips to the North facing point (seen in the photos). The photos speak for themselves — a very fine example at a very attractive price!
