On the front we see excellent detail eagle’s wings, breast and head, with very little wear at all except the beautiful natural patina from age. The same applies to the Swastika and “1939” banner below the eagle. Detail is crisp and virtually without flaw.
On the reverse we see the expected age patina, with nice dark and light surface tones. Though this 1st Class Spange is unmarked, we believe it to be a Deumer.
The screw-back (also referred to as a “clamshell”) shows the same level of patina and age as the Spange, which we like to see. The fit of the threads into the receiving post of the Spange is very smooth, with no evidence of stripping.
Don’t miss this opportunity to own a very nice, untouched, high quality 1st Class Clamshell Spange at a price that cannot be matched!
