Here’s a fine, hard to find, and very old award, in exceptional condition for its age.
This Franco-Prussian war 1870 / 1813 Iron Cross 2nd Class includes its original ribbon and 25 years Jubilee spange. The cross itself has managed to retain all of its black paint, with only some minor rusting spots peaking through from the years, giving it some extra character. The front shows the expected Prussian crown at the top, the large “W” in the center, followed by the date, “1870” at the bottom. On the reverse we see the same Prussian crown at the top, followed by the oak leaves and the date “1813” at the bottom.
The 25 Years Jubilee spange is in magnificent condition. The silvering is absolutely stunning, and the detail is no less appealing, retaining all of its original detail. The two pins on the reverse can be seen in the photos, and are perfectly in tact and properly attached to the white on black (combatant) ribbon.
This is a very well taken care of piece that has obviously been shielded from the years with care. Don’t pass this up – you’ll regret it!

Winter camo Luftwaffe helmets are very difficult to find in any condition, and while the white of the camo has been scrubbed from the surface, even having the remnants present makes this a rare find.
