Persian Daggers & Knives

This is a very nice example Large Persian Kard Knife from the late 18th, early 19th Century. Blade measures 8 3/4”, forged from wootz (Damascus) steel, and decorated with rich gold koftgari inlay. The knife measures 14” from handle to blade tip, and 15 1/4” within the sheath. The two huge grip plates appear to be genuine elephant ivory based on that vein pattern…
