SS EM/NCO Tropical Cap Skull – Uncut Strip of 6

SOLD!

This is a mint set of 6 uncut BeVo World War 2 German SS Tropical Cap Skulls. Completely flawless, this set came with an SS Panzer Grenadier Westland Cuff Title in equally pristine condition. As shown in the photos, these skulls are correct in stitching, and completely in-tact with no stitching flaws to note. All SS cap insignia lay flat except the last one in the strip, which has a very soft crease across the lower left portion of the jawbone. This is as good a set as you’re going to find!

    Hi Bart.

Thanks for posting information regarding your cap skull strip. Congrats too on your purchase of WW2 and WW2 German military items. I’d love to see a few photos of anything you’re interested in selling, or would just like for me to have a look over. If you take a few photos of each item (be sure to shoot photos of the fronts and backs) you can upload them via the Free Appraisal banner at the top of the page. Just email me 5-10 photos and mention you’re the gentleman with the cap skulls and I’ll email you back so you can just attach the remaining photos of the other German World War 2 items to a reply email.

    Thanks Bart!

Like the strip very much. I recently purchased several boxes of ww1& ww2 German military items which included many items, among these items were several rolls of several hundred each with skulls very similar to the skulls in your photos above. Even the reverse has the same weave and stitch pattern as yours in the photos. The only difference is that they had a white backing, they did pass the black light test and when several threads were burned the turned to ash and smelled like burning cotton. So they were not post war polyester…Now what?

I am perplexed because a collector with many years experience said that he has never seen anything like that style and presumed that they were fakes. I was told that these came from a concentration camp. Can you give me any info to help me identify these skull badges? There were a dozen or so larger black and some silver bevo type skulls as well. Are there any examples that can verify their authenticity?

    Sincerely,
    Bart

This is an awesome ss skull strip! Very clean and minty. I don’t think I’ve ever seen 6 in one strip before!
