Here we have a nice, early first model RLB EM Dagger by WKC Waffenfabrik Solingen in overall nice condition with a few notable flaws (outlined in the following description).

The ebony wood grip shows normal use wear including a handful of surface scratches and dings. There is also a vey small chip at the top of the grip just beneath the pommel cap (see photo). The grip is a bit loose and we didn’t want to tighten due to a small area at the top of the grip that appears to have been repaired (see photo). We fear that tightening the pommel cap may in fact pop off this piece so we’ll leave that decision to the buyer. The grip emblem is superb, with 95% of the original blue enamel in tact.

The nickel cross guard shows normal wear from use, and some minor surface spotting, but is otherwise in great shape. As with the rest of the dagger, there is quite a bit of dirt set into the grooves and recesses of the guard that the purchaser may choose to remove. We typically do not clean or alter our items; they’re sold as-is unless otherwise stated.

The blade shows a very nice cross grain on both sides, and a modest amount of surface corrosion (as many of these daggers have). The WKC Waffenfabrik Solingen knight’s head maker’s mark is very nice, crisply etched into the reverse of the blade, and 100% in tact.

The scabbard is dent-free with all hardware (screws). The paint is 100%, save a few minor dull spots. The metal tip fitting is nice and shiny, with normal use wear. The most notable flaw with the scabbard is the missing hanger. You can see in one of the photos what appears to be a sealed hanger ring hole. From the looks of it someone cut off a metal rod (or plug), sealing the hanger hole. I’m sure this object can be removed, and a replacement hanger installed, but as stated earlier in the description we generally sell our items as they’re received, so this would be up to the buyer. We’ve priced this dagger accordingly, factoring this and the other conditional elements into the price.
